DOVE HUNTING

Weather:
The weather during white-wing season is generally warm; in the mid 90's, so dress accordingly.

Field Colors:
Doves "flare" from light or bright colors, consequently it is important to dress in field colors: light green, dark khaki or camouflage.

Slacks:
For shooting, 2 or 3 pairs of light-weight cotton slacks in field colors. Evening temperatures are warm, so light cotton is appropriate for dinner.

Bring one.

Shirts:
For shooting, bring 4 to 6 short-sleeved, light weight cotton shirts in field colors.
Long Sleeved Shirts:
For sun protection only.

Footwear:
For shooting, bring light-weight boots with a rigid sole. They should lace at least to the ankle. Cordura or cordura/leather combinations are great.

Hat:
Sun protection is a must. For shooting use a wide-brimmed straw, canvas or poplin hat. As an alternative use a poplin baseball style cap.

Raingear:
Light-weight rain suit or poncho.
